Aspen Updates August 25, 2017
We had a great start to our school year! It was wonderful to see so many families attend our Get Acquainted Day! Thanks for taking time out to meet your child’s teacher and get reacquainted with our staff and school. Also, thanks for being patient while bus schedules are being worked out. Mr. Fredricksen and his entire staff want to extend a very warm welcome to all students and families. We are looking forward to a great school year!
Won’t you join us as we celebrate the start of a new school year with our first (free) Aspen Family Night dance on Friday, August 25 from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. in our own Aspen gym. We will have a DJ who will get the celebration started! Bring your whole family and enjoy an evening meeting other students and families from our school. We look forward to seeing you there!
Our first birthday breakfast for the year will be for all the students with an August birthday. Come and join Mr. Fredricksen in the cafeteria where he will treat you for breakfast on Friday, September 1 at 8:00 a.m. An invitation should have been sent home inviting students to attend. We will also be making an announcement as a reminder the morning of September 1st.
Just as a reminder before we get too far into the school year, please be sure and label your child’s belongings – specifically their coats/jackets and lunch boxes. Also, their backpacks should always have their bus tag on it (whether they take a bus or not). If you ever need another bus tag, please feel free to call the office and they will be happy to make you a new one.
