Aspen Updates May 12, 2017

MAP testing continues through 5/16. Please encourage your students to get a good night’s sleep and a good breakfast, especially on testing days.

THANK YOU SO MUCH ASPEN FAMILIES!   Our staff was blown away by your incredible generosity and donations during  Teacher Appreciation Week.  The week-long celebration was amazing!  Aspen has fantastic families and we sincerely appreciate your support! A special thank you to Robyn Kaufman, who has been our PTO VP for the last 4 years, and who has done a spectacular job in supporting our staff in extra special ways and coordinating the many, many PTO events over the last 4 years.

Registration information (infosnap) letters have been mailed home.  Please complete the online registration by May 19.  As a reminder, students will not be placed in a class or on a bus route for next year until the online registration is complete.

Our 5th grade students, along with Elementary South’s 5th graders, will be celebrating the completion of their Healthy Lifestyles class on Wednesday, May 24 at 1:00 p.m. in the Aspen gym.   Resource Officer, Jon Paret, will be facilitating the celebration.  Parents are welcome to come to this celebration.

Friday, May 12, is the last day for our students to check out books from our Aspen School library.  Please check for any Aspen School library books at home and be sure and send them back to school before the end of the year.

Our 4th grade classes will be given a chance to go through the Countryside Fire Department’s Smoke Trailer on Friday, May 12.  This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to learn more about fire safety.

Parents – our lost and found is bursting at the seams!  If your student is missing a jacket, sweatshirt, gloves, hats, etc. please feel free to come in and take a look at our Lost and Found.  We have many, many items that need to be claimed.  If they are not claimed by the last day of school, all items will be donated.
