Aspen is starting our new reading initiative program titled Aspen’s All-Stars. This is a monthly program to encourage your child to read in a variety of different ways and to display acts of kindness at home and at school. Our goal is to get 100% participation from our amazing Aspen All-Star students. Please check your child’s backpack for more information coming home soon.
Aspen is also starting up the Aspen ACE program for our 5th grade students. This is a service learning project where students are selected based on leadership potential. Some of the job duties for ACE Team Members will include greeting students in the morning, helping teachers and staff with various projects, and monitoring hallway, recess and cafeteria behavior. ACE members will be expected to display positive behaviors and a commitment to doing their best in their academics. Students will be required to get three teacher references. Please look for the application in your 5th graders’ backpacks.
