Aspen’s 11th Annual Family University
There are still spots available for Aspen’s 11th Annual Family University that is taking place on Saturday, February 3, 2018 from 9:00 a.m.-Noon. If you forgot to register, or your plans changed and you can now attend, please contact Mrs. Carson to register. Please see the 2018 Aspen Family U Registration Form for more information. Parents of 2018-2019 incoming students are welcome to register, but our Children’s Program is only for CURRENTLY enrolled Aspen families.
Parent Program: “Raising Children with Healthy Self-Esteem–How to Boost Your Child’s Self-Esteem and Confidence While Raising a Humble Kid” will be presented by Kim Olver, a licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC). Kim is an internationally acclaimed speaker, author and leader. Her entertaining presentation style is infused with humor, fun and great instructional anecdotes. The end of the program will include breakout sessions led by Mrs. Anderson, Mrs. Carson, Mr. Fredricksen, Mrs. Gerjol, Mrs. Manchester, Mrs. Motley and Mrs. Szoke.
Children’s Program (children MUST be at least 4 years old and currently enrolled Aspen family): Our awesome educational program is taught by Mrs. Brocks, Mrs. Caby, Mrs. Cooper, Ms. Green, Mrs. Kirby, Mrs. Loiben, Mrs. Medbery, Mrs. Saliba, Mrs. Williamson, Ms. Wolfson and Mrs. Zurek. Kids 4 years old through 1st Grade will learn how to identify their basic needs and meet them responsibly through age-appropriate, Olympic themed activities which include team-building games, physical exercise, creative projects and story-telling. Kids in 2nd Grade and up will learn how to boost their self-esteem through fun and engaging activities like a life-sized game and making Olympic Flags. A snack will be provided.
