Student Safety Update

Today a student discovered graffiti inside a tube slide on the Aspen and Elementary South playground. The student reported it to school staff at Aspen.

Girls on the Run Perform Skit at Senior Center

Girls on the Run students from Aspen Elementary performed a skit based on the “Three Little Pigs” at Victory Centre in Vernon Hills. They enthusiastically performed their roles for the seniors. Following the performance, they played a game with the seniors.

Fly Away Event

At today’s Fly Away event, parents, teachers, staff and students applauded as students received recognition for outstanding attendance, academic excellence and personal achievement. Students leaving Aspen Elementary received certificates. Girls on the Run Perform at Victory Centre

A group of “Girls on the Run” students from Aspen Elementary performed a skit for the residents of Victory Centre of Vernon Hills. The skit was based on the Three Little Pigs, only this story was told from the wolf’s perspective.

Spring Concert

The 4th and 5th grade band students performed their spring concert on Thursday, May 18th.  Congratulations to Mr. Fritz and all of his students on an outstanding performance!
