Don’t Miss the Facilities Meeting

You are invited to a very special Board meeting on Wednesday, October 19 to receive important information about Hawthorn District 73 building improvements under its Educational Facility Master Plan (EFMP). District 73 has experienced growth over the past few years and the master plan will provide a long-term solution for both the district’s urgent facility needs now as well as planning for continued growth and academic excellence into the future. The Hawthorn Board of Education hired DLR Group of Chicago in March to evaluate its current facility conditions and to facilitate a Core Team made up of community members, staff, administrators and facility leadership to discuss and create solutions that address the district’s needs. Wednesday’s presentation will be the community’s first opportunity to give feedback to the Core Team regarding a master plan solution prior to Board of Education consideration later this fall. Please make arrangements to attend this very important presentation and conversation at Townline Elementary, 810 N. Aspen Dr., Vernon Hills, at 7 p.m. Wednesday, October 19.
